View Full Version : sawteeth edges when importing into freehand
Peteleebe 05-31-2006, 06:10 AM Could anyone help?
I created cmyk psd images in photoshop, with enough resolution (300dpi) and print size, but everytime I import the image into freehand for printing, it looks sawteeth on the edge, I havn't done any resizing and I try saving my image as JPEG, TIFF or TGA, situation is the same!
actually what file format or setting would be the best for printing?
many many thanks!

Why do you need to import the file into Freehand? It will print just fine from Photoshop.

oh because it is an artwork and I still have to add fonts on the top

Could it just be a freehand preview problem, freehand giving you a lo-res screen preview.
What does a test print look like?

strange but I don't think it is a preview problem! as I use the best paper and best quality in printing but it doesn't work! but when I tried to print in photoshop and the printed result works fine (so it should not be the file problem)!

No - I think he's right. It sounds like a preview problem. You should be able to go into your preferences (under "Edit" menu) and tweak those out.
Have you printed it yet - how does the print look?
