I have found several MoGraph tuts on:

- digitalmedianet, cineversity, and HYPA. Do you guys know of any other sites for MoGraph tutorials? Thanks in advance.

There are currently 3 MoGraph tutorials on http://www.c4dcafe.com/ .

They can be found in the tutorial section in the categories MoGraph (Fun with Tracer & Thinking Particles with Mograph by 3DKiwi) and Tutorials by Members (Tornado Tut by Angelus).

And if those aren't enough I'm sure that 3DKiwi is already working on some new and even more in-depth tutorials.

I think the tuts on the DVD is ok,they gives one a hint, but it could be much better. The speaker sounds stressed out and I would like to have more information on "why and how". Its to much "click here, click there". And it have been smooth if the example files were rendered.

yea, the DVD tutorials were pretty dissapointing. it took me about 30 minutes to go through all of them. I learned a little, but they are by no means up to the caliber of the recent module tutorials. Like you said, just alot of now click this, now click this, now click this, now click that.

hopefully we'll see more mograph tuts soon

well if u guys checked the manual its so filled with pictures that is like u are reading a magazine, all the things that u can tweak are explained, but u have to know that its up to you to get an idea how to use this effectors on what u need (similar goes to xpresso)
... that means that tutor would have to actually present the way he thinks :) and this can get boring and long hehe, well thats atleast how i look at this ;)

If you wanna know WHY or HOW, that's why the Manual is there :D

actually, software manuals aren't really for how of why - they simply explain how individual tools or functions work

tutorials are supposed to help you see the subtle relationships between tools, and how tools can be combined in simple or complex ways - manuals rarely touch on this

saying "click this, click that, click this and now you're done" is like a manual in motion - it does not take you to the next level of software comprehension (maybe a little...but not much)

I'm guessing the MoGraph DVD tutorials are lame so we'll go buy better ones from cineversity

I totally agree. The combination of well-written manual (preferably on paper) plus video tutorials can be powerful, but these are just like a plastic kit instruction pamphlet: glue part A into slot B.

I watched them all and still have no clearer idea why I'm doing what I'm doing. Shame - real missed opportunity on Maxon's part. Hopefully the 3D Fluff guys can fill a void there.
