Does anyone have any good approaches to animating a centipede/millipede/lots of legs thingy.

My basic thoughts on it are to create the body, then create a leg seperately - animate the leg then offset the animation proceduraly somehow but to be honest I haven't a sodding clue on how to do it all!
I'm too used to creating humanoid/quadrapedal characters so this one has me proper stumped.

thanks in advance for any advice you can give.

maybe you could create some expressions to control the movement of the legs based on the movement of a reference leg...
it's just an idea ;)

This may be worth a shot, since it has a millipede setup as one of the presets! --> Skeletonworks! (http://www.aliaswavefront.com/en/Community/Learn/how_tos/animation_character/skeletonWorks/) :buttrock:

The Alias/Wavefront site is full of great little things like this, but takes a bit of ratting around to find them...

I'll have a shot with the skel works as soon as I can.

If anyone can suggest any other ideas, that'd be great. think attack of the clones scene with those squirmy knackers trying to kill the senator and you'll have a good idea of what I'm after.
