I am stuck with road texturing. All I want is to put a road texture with white stripes in the middle to a long turning road (editable poly) in max 8.
but how? i've been playing if for hours...no success so far. pls help. thx.

Just make a seamless road texture and use unwrap to map the road model.
If you don't understand what this means, do a texturing/unwrapping tutorial and you'll get it. It's not very complicated.

Could you explain a little more about what it is that you're having difficulty with? I cannot quite understand what would be challenging about this. Is it because you're having a problem creating a curvy texture? If so, why not unwrap the model and then arrange the UVs in a straight line?

Are you already UVW Mapping by Face? (If not, just remember that your road polys (should be quads, probably) need to all be about the same general size) Are there problems with turned sections? It would help to have a picture of what you have now, and maybe a paintover of what you want...
