CGTalk - cursor trouble

hey,

I've got a problem with the cursor in CS2.
When i lift my pen from the tablet I get a quick hour glass cursor and then it turns into the default windows cursor and then back to the brush size.
this is really annoying coz if i need to trace something then i can get stuck with the windows cursor and cant see the brush size.
any ideas on how to stop this?
it only seems to have started since i installed my new gfx card. (which is the same as my old one and using the same drivers)
any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have the same problem sometimes. It's extremely annoying. Haven't pinpointed the source & haven't found a solution either. It just goes & comes as it pleases.

I'd like to hear some suggestions too. I have a Quadro FX 1100 with a truckload of RAM running on a dual 3.06 Xeon. I don't think it's a performance issue...
