The head looks good so far... I m not sure about the body, but let's wait for more...
btw, maybe you should turn down the iterations of your smooth, it looks too smooth to me... er.... can't explain.... it has the look of a at-least-2iterations model... But, it s just a personnal feeling...
what? you didn't understaind a thing.... OK, I m going to practice my english skills a bit :)
waiting for an update...

A beautiful model. The overall structure is great. I wouldnt change much except for the front paddles/flippers; right now they look somewhat artificial, maybe if you softened the sharp edges of the grooves and replaced those with a hint of bone structure, like phalanges, etc. That would compliment the ribcage and other visable skeletal details.

wow!! Really nice! I love your muscles it looks freaky. Don't know is toce is right, I think it looks a bit smoother than it should. Uhm, this is a stupid idea, but have you tried to bandsaw the areas that should be sharper? Plus, i think that you could figure out better teeth for this beauty.
Have you ever made any tutorials on organic modelling?
(could you PLEASE make????)

Please post the control cage along with the smoothed model, it's much easier to understand what you are doing intentionally and what is an artifact or a result of your workflow.
I like the overall look, and especially the separated ja muscle (gotta try something similar sometime!:).
What I don't like too much is that some of the muscles seem to be in place just for looks, but they don't seem attached well enough or maybe don't look purposeful... maybe think more of how the creature works, not how you want it to look.
Still - extemely nice model!
