andronikos916 you are a great maxwell user, and i respect your works, tips and test in the maxwell forum, but the maxwell manual is really really bad. the render is really impressive, but the system, interface, texture etc...are not really easy for a beginer and for someone who have no basic lights experiences. good luck with your dvd !

Solution - Dont use Maxwell. Find the faster bias renderer for whatever program you use, it will most likely cost less, have better updates, and be easier to controll and set up along with faster previewing times especialy if you learn how to set it up correctly.

Actually CupOWonton
I have being using Mental Ray for about 4 years and renderman for 5.
I have no problem writing shaders or creating light rigs with those engines
but is always nice to keep your mind open for new ideas in this case new softwares.
If you take a second to see what maxwell can do and give it a chance you might be surprise.
:wise:
I just got introduce to it, an so far I like what I see.

With those credentials I dont see why you'd use MW anyway.
MentalRay is more than capable of making good realistic renders with fast speeds, and so is renderman. MW just substituted longer setup times for a much slower render time and lack of controll that leaves it behind in the end when it comes to animation production.
