cool..
in the first image his cape looks a little stiff...
however, in the second with the effects...it really looks like a comic type artwork.
nice.
peace,

WOW I love it . Used the toy figure to model from? Looks just like the one on my desk. I'm currently trying to model Greg Capullo's "The Creech" from the McToys figure. I'll post how it goes someday. hehehe.

Hey, yeah im a Fan + fannatic = of Spawn as well, and one thing i must say, this is a very well done conversion of a 2D comic character to 3D. The setup of your scene is like a translation from a drawing you'de see in the style of Cappelo' (spelling?) or even Tod, and corrolates well with all the exagerated details you'de find in some of thier drawings. Thats why I like it so much, it's true to the stylings of Spawn. Theres only one section that I noticed that could (if you wanted) be changed. The calves, in fact the entire leg below the knees are quite a bit to small. They are too unproportional to the body, and in fact they are usually proportioned larger thatn they should be in many spawn drawings. The Giant boot should also be a tad bigger there, in relation to the lower half... but just scale those portions up and I'de give you some of my Toblerone bar here... what am i saying! No one gets any! itss all mine! my own....
-Doom
P.S. God, its late... we know what THAT means... VIDEO GAME TIME!
P.S.S Oh, the right arm piece... some more creases perhaps (bump emm or model them, whatever) in the area wher ehis wrist would be... His armour does that. Bends and stuff, you know.. because its, alive, or whatever. AHH! Thicker Chain links! Or leave them... THATS just geting picky... if you did that I WOULD give you some of my Toblerone.
P.S.S.S ... he lies! ....

As for the boy, Im working on a 1 min movie trailer that should be done in a couple months. I think im going to start a thread in the WIP section as soon as I finish his body.
Doomninja - I agree.

Wow I loved this picture, I loved your website too. I watched the demo reel. Cool stuff. I got two questions if you don't mind answering. What's up with that minority report thing? That was cool just wondering if you did part of the movie or something. And what song is that? It goes good with the reel.

Good stuff, i like the modelling, but as an Un-Official Spawn Freak-assed, i would say some small critiques (becoz' this one is based over Al Simmons one):
- Evil? Spawns are already evil... ¬¬
-I think the right leg thingy should a bit bigger and the spines not so "clean", but more likely old, rusty and deformed, yet spike-ish. The left arm thing is very nice, but i think the textures need a small bit more of work.
-The chains are much bigger. (i love Greg Capullo work, what can i say?)
Other than that, i do admit i have nothing to critique. Salud hermano!

beauty of a model, man! great portfolio site as well.
Spawn has always been a big favorite of mine.
that first image that you posted though, is the weakest one, imho - only because the flames distract from your awesome model, and dont really add anything.

Alevice -
Ya I think that the textures could use a little dirtyness to them,
Thanks for the comments and critiques it is appreciated.
platypus -
The fire around him is a bit distracting but someone suggested that they wanted a wallpaper of him. Ill mayabe post a better version of it in the future.
Thanks for everyones input!

WOOOW!!!!!....this is THE model of the HellSpawn (don't anybody forget that)....it's great the model, very very cool
but like people said it has to had dirt...the cape and the chains...and the chains are a lot bigger (the chains that you model are the ones used on the action figure, but the real ones are shown in the 87 issue of Spawn, that it's a good reference image)..
weel ..congrats again..great work.. ('am so proude of you  :p )

Impressive, he's like in the comic ! Can't you try a cartoon-like render to make him looking more like the original arts by Mc Farlane ?
