View Full Version : Please help, how do I ease into a key in a linear fashion!?

I'm animating camera movements and I'd like to ease into a keyframe but without altering the path of it?

That is to say I have a camera track that moves in a straight line. I simply want to keep it moving in a straight line but ease into its final key.

I've tried playing with the Tension, Continuity and Bais but they all seem to apply a curve to my cameras path which I do not want. And if I set my incoming curve to Linear then the TCB controls are greyed out!?

How can I control the flow of frames around a keyframe but still keep it acting in a linear fashion?

Any help greatly appreciated.

As long as you have keys on all three XYZ channels on the exact same frames, and the tension on all of them is 1.0, you will get linear point-to-point motion with ease-in and ease-out.

If you are trying to do something more complicated, like insert a linear segment into a motion path that also has curved parts, you may have to use an expression to drive the motion.
