It looks more like Gollum from The Lord Of The Rings.
Yes, make the goatee. The eyebrows should be thick, but small. Hair... He'll look good in the same hairstyle as is Severus Snape from Harry Potter. The movie ofcourse. But... Make the color white. So it will go together with the goatee.
And the lips... Make them a bit more skin color. It seems like he's been using his mom's lipstick again...

That's awesome, he looks a little like a zombie, too black around eyes. Great work!

maybe it's just me, but is something wrong with his teeth, especially the lower ones :s

His translucency is causing me to think that his head is in fact empty... the top part of the cranium should definitely not be so translucent... but great work so far!

I think it was his first intention to model Gullum,...

humm... i started modelling on this lil' fellah' the day after i saw the two towers premiere... so yes... most of the inspiration comes from gollum.
ppl are complaining about the translucency... and yes i agree.. it doesnt look completely real... especially in the "close to cranium" areas. in the top of the head where the two strong lightsources meet the most probs show... Maybe i can get better results by tightening the rimlights. that might also help bringing out more detail in the left ear.
the teeth doesnt meet... i like it that way... but you might be right.. maybe i overdid it ...
this also suffers from some texture stretching. should not be that hard to fix...
i think ill double the bumpmap size and add more sublte wrinkles and pores... mainly in the chin area...
i do think that some hair will help a whole lot since it both hides and distracts.
also ears need remodelling..
im wondering wether i should go for a dirty savage look on him.. tribal tattos and some scars... earrings...
My other thought is to dress him in a shirt and possibly a coat. some glasses possibly... like the gringott gnomes from harry potter... humm...
what do you think?

i think this is super cool... :)
but the first thing (I) would want to see , hehe, is scars or something like you mentioned... like the messed up teeth, theyre great :)
but i kinda like it bald, maybe just burnt eyebrows or somethin?
