Title: Gollum
Name: Mauro Corveloni
Country: Brazil
Software: Photoshop
Hi.
That is the last work that I have made. Since I saw the character Gollum in the movie Lord of the Rings I wanted to model him. For me he is the best CG character I have seen till now. And in this scene I tryed to put the essence of the character the way it is in my mind.
He was modeled in Lightwave using subpatches and the UV texture was created in Photoshop.
Thanks!

I like your job an idea :) but You know what? You should spend more time on making details of his skin, eyes etc. That would be a greate job! Also make better textures, his skin must bee dirty, sharpens etc. And make the enviroment in a cave, add some extra lights. More dark colors would be a perfect! :)
Work more on this project, watch some screenshots from movie. That would be a greate job :D

A brilliant model there, looks just like the real character. However, like MN said, the textures could do with a little work; not too much, just a bit to add realism, such as the ears which would have some transparency. Apart from that, it's brilliant.

Turned out great! nice to see your own interpretation even if inspired by the movie.
Nice:) just some crits:
His right arm at the elbow looks pretty weird.
The teeth doesnīt really look proper.
His hair looks too "fat" and too dark.
And also, as Iīve said before his skin-color is not purple enough, I believe itīs too bright/white.

Looking really Good! If you are getting Lightwave 9 you will be able to add Subsurface scattering to his skin using the shaders in the new node editor. I think the the model and textures look really nice.

Hi, guys!
Thanks for everyone for your reply with comments, ideas and critiques. I think that there are some things I could improve in this image but since the first beginning I didnīt want a dark environment like a cave or something. As I told before that is my interpretation of the character and certainly each one would have a particular way to create a scene with Gollum.
Anyway, I would like to thank you for your feedback.
Bye!
