CGTalk - The battlefield

Hello everyone.
I just started to get into the details part by part and this is what i have so far.
I am thinking to paint some battle ships and people down there to make it more things going on.

Any comments, crits, and idea for details are welcome.

Also I am wondering the color wise matter on it if it isn't too dark.. bright.. contrasty.. and etc.
I recently got a LCD and it seems like the color is darker than other monitors.
Any comments on color and brightness would be very appreciated.
