Title: Italian Passage
Name: Gary Smith
Country: USA
Software: 3ds max, Photoshop, VRay

My latest scene created in 3dsmax and Photoshop. This is another one of my European scenes taking place in Italy. The time completion was about 8 days, and I really enjoyed making this. C&C please! :)

Nice scene, texture and light.

The mood is excellent. A little bit of less bump in the the bycicle,
and 'voilá'. Congrats! :)

Thanks for the comments guys, I appreciate the feedback...(too bad I didn't get more lol). I was thinking about adding some DOF but that would take away the detail from the house in the back. And the major bump on the bike is because I wanted to give it a realistic rust effect (the material for that was very complex) :)

Really nice scene but... can you tell me where is this place supposed to be? I don't recognize the tipical south italy architecture.. perhaps puglia, where turks came long time ago?

Nice work. The textures and lighting are very good. Maybe it kind misses more objects and detailed features to compose it some more. In such a realistic environment the birds look a bit "inflated" and rigid too. Finnaly As Necksmasher said some Dof in the background would improve some more, with the field range you show in your scene a standard camera would defocus either (or and) the bicicle or (or and) the background house, depending on the apperture used. In overall your scene it's quite good, once again specially the light and textures/bump work. Keep it up.
