Hi all.

Im trying to get a very very wide screen render of a scene im trying to do. Basically almost "Web Banner" style and size render.

From what ive experimented with in the Cameras, I cant get it to render out the size i want. I can get wide screen but not the wide wide wide screen.

Ive tried zooming out from the scene and rendering out basically everything and just cropping the Top and Bottom parts i didnt need. But it still didnt look right cause the scene looks futher away because i have zoomed out.

Any Ideas? Tips?

thanks

What's wrong with simply changing the render resolution to whatever you need? (you can see the areas that will be rendered in viewport with the lines, then use the camera offsets if you need to slide up/down the image).

Mightbe you should try setting up 3 cameras, each a certain distance apart and make sure that the rendered images touch, but not overlap, and then stitch the image together afterwards. Basically it's making a set of panorama pictures.

I'm not sire how to do this with just one camera and without post processing.

Yup, that should be it (What Per-Anders said).

I good tip is if you know the ratio (width height) in example 20:1.
Then first set the "Film Format" to that.

After that change the Resolution. No matter if you change the width or hight it will be proportional.
One good reason to do this is for either lo res test renders or to render at higher resolution to be able to treat result in post and after that scale down to the final resolution.
