This is my first attempt at a 3D animation. It was completed in partial fulfillment of my Master of Science Degree in Digital Imaging and Design from New York University.

Here is the synopsis:
Chester is a lazy dog that prefers to be left alone. When the rambunctious girl he lives with disturbs his nap he has to figure out a way to restore peace to what is left of the day.

I am intending this to be for all audiences. I want parents and their children to enjoy it. I'd love ANY FEEDBACK you choose to leave. You can respond here or leave a message in the guestbook at the link below. I can't wait to hear what you have to say. Any comments on the final render style? Anything you can tell me would be great.

You can view the animation at: http://www.animike.com/fetch

gatari,

I thought that was great, that was funny. I'm sure pets feel that way when they get tired out. Nice job and i loved the way it looked, i assume that was a Toon type Shader or was it something you did on the textures. Nice job

I made it with a compositing combination involving a color pass (with little or no focus on shadows and lighting), an occlusion pass, and a solo out line pass. I added additional levels or variations of these where needed, but they were the only layers I rendered out of maya.

thanks for the feedback. glad you liked the piece.
