Hi Everyone,

I am a newbie. I would like to import Live action into Maya and i have a basic idea how to do it but i would like some tutorials or some concrete advice about how to incorporate it will 3d models and import it.

Your wealth of knowledge is extremely welcomed:D

what you need is a matchmover that will track the image sequence to extract the camera data.

you can use: bojou , matchmover or maya Live (if you have maya unlimited) to track the footage.

i dont know if there are any tutorials on the net that covers this , because its a pretty straightforward process , the tutorial files you get with your matchmover are generally all you need to get you started.

oh and by the way , the difference between maya live and the rest of the software i listed above is :

maya live doesn't have automatic tracking which means you have to manually put your tracking points etc. , matchmover and bojou on the other hand tracks the footage automaticly. time saver! .
