Looking better color- and lightingwise, but I don't really like the designs. They're a bit to 'garden gnome' to me. Also the animation is pretty weak sometimes, especially on the humans.
But more importantly: is that all the story's got? Barnyard animals are actually pretty smart and like toys they come alive when you leave the room?? I think it needs to go somewhere....
I liked the "Manabonga!!"-joke.

Looks like someone read Orwell`s Animal Farm and deceided to make a comedy. The original Animal Farm would be a lot better, as a social commentary too. I doubt it`ll get made but ohwell. Looks entertaining enough :)

It has been made:
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0047834/
And there's a tv movie as well.
I don't think it looks much like Animal Farm. I think it's just a bunch of barnyard animals clowning around. At least, that's all I get from this trailer.

No it is based off of a bunch of statues of drinking cows Odekirk has in his game room. They idea for a story was probably from ripping off Gary Larson.
Far side + fart and poop jokes every two minutes = bardyard? You be the judge.

having spent over a year of my life on this movie, I'll say that there is a story, and it's pretty entertaining the last time i saw it (over a year ago). I can't say more than that since i'm still under NDA. So, yes, it is more than just talking cows, there is a plot. And yah, the main character is based on a sculpture Steve's had for years that is kind of larson-esque.
