Hello

I Have used Maya for about 3 months. But I have a problem wiht rigging my Human model. My problem is I can't use reflection stroke in the Paint Weight tools. It seems to be grayed out I did some searching and found my model/uv has to be symmetrical for the tool to work?. *maybe im wrong* My model is a basic human shaped. Split down the middle and mirrored over it has a uv made from auto uvmapping then sew/move the bits into the right Uv shapes.

If my problem is a symmetrical uv problem could some one explane how I can go about fixing it I tryed doing both legs by them self but I cant seem to get them to work the same way.

Thank you
Greg Thompson

if you click the "tool help" button at the top of the paint weights tool options window...

in there you will find this..

"Note
Reflection is disabled for the Paint Skin Weights Tool. Skin > Edit Smooth Skin > Mirror Skin Weights can be used as an alternative method to do reflection of the skin weights."
