Good day, people!
We here need some help. We are trying to animate characters in a FPS game and we're experiencing the lack reference material. We need to see how troopers behave in different situations. How the run when full equipped, how they crawl, etc. i.d. we need some examples of looping motions.
Filming people on camera is no use: civilians tend walk weirdly. ) Watching soliders in other games, such as call of duty is no big help too. It's better to see frame by frame.
So if any one can point to some videos or agame editor where animations can examined (for reference only) it would be nice.

Im not sure if you actually need to look at the actual animation or if you just need to look at how it is in game, but you can try red orchestra. RO is a infantry level sim game and they got the animations down pretty good. The only weird animation is the running one, it looks like the guy has a stick up his ass, but apparently they are going to fix it in the next patch.

no problem man, hope it helps out.

Also if you want to look at how they did the animations, there is a browser in UED that lets you see how the bones are setup and what the names of the bones are.
