Is there a way to disable the camera trucking with the middle mouse button in a Max viewport? I keep accidentally moving the viewport thinking it's the Perspective viewport and consequently wreck the my nicely positioned cameras.

There sure is, select your camera, go to the Hierachy tab, select the Link Info part, and Lock the camera's movement in X, Y, and Z. Tadaa. Same goes for rotational of course. Uncheck those if you want it moved. Or link the camera to a dummy and move the dummy around when you actually want it moved, I think that works as well.
