Nice model. Especially for your first. You need to work on the eyes, there too big and need to spread them apart a bit. The ears as well need a bit of work. Also the nose, lips look good though. Keep working on him.

Well, he already said, that this model is supposed to be "semi-manga". Therefore the eyes are okay, to my opinion. His chin needs to be more prominent and the upper halves of his ears seem too prominent, so make them smaller, I'd say. Mhm... I should take a look at it again. Would be nice to see another surface material on your model. He's way to shiny. Anyways, a very good start for a first head (when I think of _my_ first head... yuck.. :surprised )

The only thing that bother me is the nose. It looks very "cubic". I think it will be better if you smooth it out. Very good model for starter! You should be proud!

Keep working!

I know it is 1/2 Manga, but it comes to my attention that the upper body and the legs are very out of proportion. Just my 2 cents.

Hi,
Well if this is your'e first attempt to character modeling i have to say that u do well. As writen before the nose need some work and some other minor things.
I have provided an link to the website of Michel Roger, an French artist whoes in my opinion one off the best character designers. He wrote some articles (tutorials) which are now translated into englisch. But first of all finish this attempt first before doing this tutorial.
