Hello! I'm sorry that everytime i come to this forum is to ask a question... I would really love to answer the other people's questions but i really don't know how... :\

Now to the question,
Can anyone give me some pointers or something on how to model a cigarrete ( with textures and a burning tip :P ) and a cigarrete pack?

Thanks in advance.

PS: i'm sorry if I have any typo.

Heres a very quick example of a cigarrete for you, all you need to do is make a texture map in photohop, and map it to a cyilnder.

For the box same thing using cube and cubic mapping.

... something funny is going on! I tried and use a texture i made in a cigarrete and it worked, but then when i did a copy paste to put it in that scene the texture dissapeared from the cigarrete side and it was only on top! what the hell is this? :P

Here's another cigarette example with ashes.
A cylinder has been made editable and tweaked with magnet and point move for the tip area. Textures are applied to each selected parts (restrict to selection). The ashes are polygons which have been crumpled and tweaked.

Here's an ooold cigarette made in release 7. The procedure is basically the same as slouchcorp's, but I'va also made an alpha for the tip, with some holes in it. furthermore, I've crumpled the polys on the tip. And for the glow effect, I've put a small volumetric light inside of the tip. Sorry the pic is so small.
You might wanna check your projection-type if you're having problems. It has to be cylindrical

Nice job, the smoke could use some work but the rest is right on... thanx for sharing :D

Here's a cig pack plus some cigarettes I did some time ago. The pack was simply a matter of scanning the textures and then building polys that fit.
