View Full Version : IK Solver plane problem?

Hi,

I''ve been playing around with rigging in max 5.

Now i've set up a leg chain, as shown in the rigging tutorial. However, after assigning a control object for the ik solver plane target, I am unable to move the control to swivel the knee, without also moving the foot bones. I am expecting the swivel to stop at the ankle (where the leg IK ends).. and for the foot to remain stationary.

I've looked at the example on the cd, and my leg setup appears to be the same.

Any ideas, what 've missed?

Whoops,

looks as though I'd changed the parent space options in the ik solver plane properties... Oh well, sorted now! :)
