Great modeling but I think the textures and lighting don't stand up to the awesome model. Keep up the good work!

I second that. Should put in more mood in it.
The breast was kinda bit huge, unless its a female.

I thought the lighting worked very well. Anyone else noticed the monster's holding the axe wrong? :) Direction of the blade should be in the direction of the hand. Rotate axe 90 degrees left and rotate wrist instead?
Btw that model was gross hehe... but kinda funny ;)

Yes the direction of the axe deffinately jumps out at you. Its not really wrong but would look better if the rist was bent thus makeing the the axe turn back more the other way. Would make the silhouette of the character stronger.
Although just looking at the picture again what you may me trying to capture is the creature has already started to swing at the chain so the rist would be more bent and the blade traveling foward. So in this case perhaps the axe should be more bent back. The monster has started to swing but the weight of the axe is causing the rist to to bend back so the axe head would drop down and the elbow would come towards camera more.
But diffinately top work

Nice Picture
The shadeing is very good and the colours are very harmonic.
Great style!
