Hello All,


As opposed to browsing the threads this time I thought I'd take a swing at doing a little something. Unfortunately as I did my draft I suddenly realized I may not have time to do it. But you never know. Theoretically if I bust much behind to do day one hour per day for the next 30 days I could be finished. We'll see.

The Last

This is a depiction of a Native American God of the Earth. He is reaching out to the God of the Heavens to give him release. Far too many of his Children have had their blood spilled onto his skin.

Looking at your user name, I was curious - Are you familiar with the writings of Orson Scott Card? Your project has overtones of his novel Red Prophet. If you are not, then I highly recommend him. He created an alternative world where magic does indeed work- however it is well researched and grounded quite well in the spiritual beliefs of both the Native Americans and those of the pioneering Americans/ Europeans

While I am familiar with Orson Scott Card I have not had the pleasure of reading any of his books. Although I'm familiar with his Ender series. This concept comes from my own ideas as well as my faint familiarity with Native American culture. For me it was the most obvious thing to just go with a Greek or Roman based God. So I decided, hey, lets try something totally non european. We'll see how it goes.
