Hello,

I am looking to learn about render passes. Can anyone suggest a good tutorial, book, or training video? I have a basic knowledge of the concept and currently render diffuse and ambient occlusion passes and composite them together afterwards. However, I'm not very familiar with specular, reflection, shadow, final gather pass etc.

I've looked around somewhat but haven't found anything to explain a good workflow for this.

Any tips are helpful, it can be from any application... thanks

Try to read help of program what you using. Buy magazine about design and computer graphics.

That book looks really good.

Actually I've been doing 3d for about three years now, just self taught, and i've used various programs, read most of the manuals, etc, and done some short productions along with doing my own compositing.

I have just not gotten ahold of some training guide that explicitly laid out how to do the different render pass set ups. So thanks for your input..
