Hi Gang,

Adding a user data port and a tiny bit of Xpresso is an easy way to control what a text spline displays, but can this level of control be implemented to affect the text within the spline shader or is this not possible to do with the spline shader?
See attached basic setup.

Any ideas?

yes, you can control the text of the spline shader with xpresso. just drag the shader from the material into the xpresso editor. you have to drag the little shader preview window. i attache da little example that sets the text to the current frame number.

This technique is very convenient for my current project.
