The object has been converted to sub-d
and I seem to get these strange areas
on my geometry. I have tried to select
them as edges and delete them but have
not had any success doing so. Aslo I have
went to display level 2 and can manipulate
the individual cvs that rest on these strange
lines. I dont know hwo they got there or
how to get rid of them and fear that they will
only cause me problems in the long run. If you
know what they are,how they got there, and
what to do with them please share the knowledge
before i lose my mind and throw my pc out my window
with my neck tied to it.....

Nothing to be afraid of, those are just deeper hierarchy levels of your mesh. It does look like your video card is having a hard time displaying it though.

I am using the geforce ti 4600. I was under the impression that this card was going to be a good one to use ofr 3d work. Maybe i have to tweak but just dont know how. Or maybe some special setting somewhere that I dont know of needs to be turned on....If you use a ti 4600 and have any solutions to my problem please let me know...thnx in advance

the level two topology would display properly in higher geometry display resolutions (1, 2, 3 on the keyboard).

it exists because you don't have "quads".
your polygons have more than 4 edges.

either add or remove edges to solve the problem of not having quads and that will clear up the low level detail issues.

however they aren't that bad just to leave them.

Well, you can fix that nasty display problem of yours...

Just hop on over to guru3d.com and get the softquadro4 mod for your geforce. Turn that sucker into a Quadro :)
That will give you hardware overlay as well as other features otherwise unavailable to you.
Sure fixed MY display problems, hehe..
