This is the emitter, a piece of machinery appearing in a short film I'm putting together. In the film, the emitter will ultimately be pointed upward towards the sky, rather than directly forward as it is here. And just to clarify, this isn't a weapon, even though it kinda looks like one. It's supposed to be extremely large, somewher between 10 and 20 stories, but of course there's no sense of scale here.

I haven't done any texturing yet, so with the modeling done I thought I'd throw up some preview shots before moving on to the next phase.

It's hard to say how long I spent on the modeling; It took place over the course of a week and a half, but a lot of that time was spent on other things, so if I estimated, I'd say maybe about 60% of that was actual work time.

wow~ this is great! I love the design and the details. It would be fantastic to see him working out in the film.

btw, I wonder what is its function for not being a weapon? :P

That's a staggeringly detailed model, great work. You might wanna work on the textures to give it a sense of scale, add some tiny details to it.

it EMITS :applause:

Thanks, like I said it was done over the course of a week and a half, about 60% of which was probably actual work time.
