hi. i am looking to animate a plane to a spline. i was told by someone a while ago to use an Align To Spline Expression & from there i could click a checkbox that would make it Tangential. unfortunately i can't find this expression. could anyone please help me out & tell me where on earth this command is.

i did the align to path command from the animation window, but although it follows it, the plane heads in the same direction rather than turning with the path.

thanks,
Erskine

It all depends on which version of CINEMA you're working in. In R7, all you need to do is add an Align to Spline track in the Timeline and add a keyframe. (New Track=>Geometry=>Align to Spline)

If you're working in R8, then yes, it's an expression. In the Object Manager, go to File=>New Expression and choose Align to Spline. Then to animate the object, create keyframes for the 'Position' field in the expression's attributes.
