Title: Young Black Male
Name: Wayne Robson
Country: United Kingdom
Software: (Other), 3ds max, Brazil r/s, ZBrush

Base mesh knocked out in Max 8 then retopologised in Silo, with a very quick stop off in Zbrush. It occured to me that there aren't many examples of ethnic races in the world of 3D models. It seemed to me to be something that would be fun to try.

This main modeling of this image was started just as I came down with carpal tunnel syndrome in both hands, so it may well be a while till I can model again. (I'm currently starring down the barrels of an op in both hands...)

He looks good. His face is really living and expressive.
Your texture work is awesome.
My critics are about background integration. The camera point of view seems weird, and the lighting doesn't fit too well (there is much more light on his face than the environment, and i'd expect stronger shadows). It looks as if he was self-illuminated. Gives a style though.
Last remark about the model. His ears look a little "flat" from this angle, though it's difficult to say.
Overall i find this piece gorgeous.
I give you 4 stars for the great work.

nice character and texturing .
I think there is a problem with the ears, dont know maybe its abit far from the head.
good luck.

This is great! Looks almost real (eyes may be too shiny). Also ears look like they are of too backwards of the head.

Congratulations!

Thnaks for the comments. Although I can asure you that the ears are in the correct place (seems to be a trick due to the lens focal length I think.) Idealy I would liked to have pent more time on this character's ears, but one the carpal tunnel kicked in it became impossible to do unfortunatly. (complete numbness after 10 mins modelling etc...)

The lighting is a tad off yeah, Agin this wasn't originally going to be a prob as the background was also going to be a complete model of a street / alley scene. Thanks for the comments guys, its a shame I wont be able to at on the advice for a good while.

Nice pic, he looks like chapelle with a rounder head, haha. Anyways I really like the pic but I think two things on the face could be fixed. Somehow, to me it looks like his lips are glued together, and also his eyes look too big.

Great job! I think the lighting in the fg is a bit different from the bg. Great textures! A little more detail in the skin would help.
