I'm starting a short about the evolution of the world and it's inhabitants, so I started with this dinosaur and I would like to ask for opinions and/or suggestions about his first steps animation and his mouth. Should he have teeth?

Well, you've definetly got the cute and cartoony look going on. If you wanna keep that, I don't see any reason to add evil sharp teeth--perhaps just some real cartoony teeth. He almost looks like a claymodeled stopmotion guy

Thanks alot for your comment! In did, my idea is to preserve the cartoony looks and explore this style in other characters, but I'm having serious problems with the mouth design.. I had tryied some cartoony teeth and I don't know, but in my opinion, didn't match the mouth (I don't know exactly why..) Maybe because of the size... well.. I'll try harder those kind of teeth.. and I promiss I'll put some more images!

Hi! following Zephyrpower (http://forums.cgsociety.org/member.php?u=186949)'s suggestions, I've putted some teeth in the dino's mouth.. I kind like it, but I'm not really sure about that... So.. What do you think?

Yah the teeth make him look much better!! If your interested in further tweaking him, I have a few suggestions.

1. Back toe could be smaller than the front 2 toes, from the profile it looks too symetrical to the front half of the foot.
2. Leg is a bit symetrical, I think you could still keep it cartoony but have some different aspects on the front and back to make it look more interesting. At least a calf and shin on the lower half of the leg.
3. I also think it would be nice if the tail angled down a little when you go to animate him....instead of sticking straight out...I'm sure it's just sticking out because of how you modeled it but it would be nice to see it slope down somewhat in the animation.

Hi guys, thanks for your opinions, and I would like to show you these 3 previews I made for his steps:

As soon as possible, I'll make some changes on the modelling!

Zephyrpower, I didn't payied alot of attention to his leg's modeling process, but looking now, I guess you're totally right!

About his tail animation, it was entirely intentional, I 'd like to give the idea of dragging his tail.. :) I don't know where this idea came from... but I'll make some previews with the the the tail angled down and something like that to make it a little more dinamic..

brazz, ok man! I'll keep them!
