View Full Version : Default Brush Shape Problem

I am using both PS 7.0 and CS 2. All my default brush settings in 7.0 are all Tapered Brushes (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v54/krystalkat/School_Work/TaperedBrush.png). But in CS2 all the default brushes are Rounded (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v54/krystalkat/School_Work/RoundedBrush.png).

I tried matching up the shape dynamic settings from 7.0 to CS2, but nothing changes. Is there anyway to fix this? And also, I have a wacom tablet installed, and I figured that the brush shape would change when ever I use it/plug it in, but it doesn't.

If you have any resolution to this little problem, please let me know. Thanks!

Under your 'shape dynamics' tab in the brushes palette, set the 'side jitter' to 'pen pressure'.

If you have already done this then you must have a problem with your tablet software.
If you plug your tablet in after your computer has started up, this also could be the cause.

Try restarting after plugging the tablet in or restart photoshop after plugging in. If that fails, perhaps try reinstalling.

Good luck!

Yeah, what whipyo said. If nothing works and you need to reinstall, try deleting your preferences first. Holding ctrl+shift+alt while Photoshop is loading should do it. It may just be ctrl+shift, I can't remember.

Thank you for the feed back, and yeah I had already tried changing the side jitter to pen pressure but doing so didn't work. But reinstalling PS did the trick, I also checked for any updated tablet drivers just to make sure. All is well now, thanks vaXn8d & Whipyo.
