View Full Version : Converting an SLA texture into an actual texture map.
That Adrian Guy 01-08-2003, 01:54 PM You can probably already see what I'm trying to do. Is there any way I can have an SLA converted to a texture map?
That would be amazingly cool.
Is it wishful thinking?

I think BhodiNuts baker does this. could be wrong:D
but might be worth having a look at.

Baker will do it HOWEVER, I havent ever gotten the result to map correctly onto anything more complex then a sphere primitive in my few attempts. I guess UVs need to be setup or something.
If anyone cracks this issue, let me know!!!!
Maybe post on the Bhodinut website?

I've gotten Baker to work on a pretty complex mesh (head model), but it *does* require a good UV map with *no* overlapping coords.

I read up a little on this issue in BP manual and other books/tutes (UV tweaking) but seemed a bit complex to grasp. How difficult is the process on average (I know thats not a good question)? Does starting off with a primitive object like a cube to build your hypernurbs model cause you to inherit UV problems inherent in the primitive objects?
