I know I should know this, but is there a kb shortcut for changing the visibility of all layers at once?

Thanks.

Sorry but I'm not quite sure why you would want to turn off ALL the layers at once you would'nt see any thing. But the first thing that poped into my head was to create/place all the layers that you are going to want to make visable/invisable into a layer folder. and then if you really want to speed things up give that folder a name and assign a macro to turn on/off that layer folders visability.

hope this helps

hold down alt, and click on one of the layers "eye" that will hide all other layers except that one.

I know guys, both your points are well taken and I did know about the alt thing on the eye, but there are times when after using the alt technique I can not turn on the layers I just made invisible and have to turn them on indvidualy. I don't know why, but it does happen from time to time I know you can scrub over the eye icon of all the layers and it wil turn them on (or off), and of course you can click on them indvidualy, but it is just these rare time when they get all bolexed that I was looking for the shortcut. And you know what? Seems to me there is a kb shortcut for that (or maybe it is mouseclick/kb combo) but I can't remember it.

Thank you for taking the time. I appreciate it.

this works, but perhaps in CS+

I guess my 50 cents on this would be what's already been suggested: make a layer set, and stick all'of em in there - at least then you can turn them off with one click, albeit not with a shortcut.
