OK I've had this problem ever since Max 4 when creating bones, then when I FK rotate some of them in the hierarchy, they squash and stretch really weird sometimes. :(

Here's an example AVI render I did where I had problems (3rd bone is messed up)

I have no idea why it does this sometimes. But I never had this problem in Max 3. I tried selecting the offending bone, and unlinking it, then reset Xform, then re-linking it in the heirarchy, but no luck.. :(

Is there anything else I can do to fix it?

Thanks

We've also experienced this issue today. Any clues?

Make sure to check the pivot mode when you're doing the rotations. It's the little flyout button to the right of the coordinate system drop-down. One of the modes will place the pivot at the center of the bone object rather than at its root, which causes the bone to appear to "squash around" when you rotate it. I'm not really sure if this is your culprit, but I've noticed it recently and thought I might as well point it out:)
