There is no brazil for Maya as yet. Splutterfish say they are 'in development' of one for Maya, but how long it will be before this emerges is anyone's guess.

Let's all send an email to Splutterfish and flood their servers with a Brazil > Maya request :D
Let 'em notice that the demand for a Maya brazil is high !

Well we allready got Mental Ray, so what do we need Brazil for ?

Mental Ray is fine, true enough. But Brazil is yet another option, nice to have as many as possible.
I have heard that V-ray is considering Maya. Vlado the creator is finishing up with version 1.1 for V-ray Max. And then we shall see if the rumors are true about V-Ray for Maya. I prefer V-ray over Brazil in overall aspects,it really rocks.

No offense Projectkmo but those renders look an awful lot like RayDiffuse with default settings. You sure it was Brazil?

The New RayDefuse is also out! It comes with its own hardware machine that you get inside and you can put yourself in suspended animation while it renders. :p
Tumiksmaker what kind of rendering effects are you having a hard time achieving? Perhaps some of us may be able to help you.

i think what he meant is that it is waaay too slow. i'd have to agree. i just tested it on 10 duplicated spheres & a plane with standard materials & he took about 5 min to render out about 5% of the image.... :thumbsdow

The commercial version of Raydiffuse allows you to bake it into texture maps.
