I have Norton Internet Security and Lightwave 7.5. When Norton is activated, I have a heck of a time starting up LW. Sometimes it takes almost 2 minutes to start. When Norton is disabled, LW starts up pretty quickly. Has anyone else had similar problems, and if so, do you have any work arounds?

i dont have problems because i use avg antivirus (free).

my best solution: disable norton before starting lw

I have AVK by GDATA. Its background anti virus agent slows down the system and especially particular programs, because those agents are watching file access activities. It's the most sensible thing to turn off the agent before starting LW

I have Norton Internet Security 2003 installed and on all the time, but I have no delay or problem starting LW 7.5 on XP or Windows 2000.

You should check the CPU usage in the TaskManager at the startup to track down which process takes the most CPU time when you start up LW to narrow the problem further.
