View Full Version : Lava reptile
im still learning photoshop and i wanted to nkow what you guys think. also any advice on what i can do to make it better would be appreciated. im trying to give the reptillian like thing a broken lava rock feel but sometimes i think it looks to glossy. thanks in advance for any help.

I think this looks good too, a good start. I would just darken up the 'stone' parts even more - but don't use pure black - use a super saturated dark brown and grey mottled effect I think. But hey, that's just my opinion :)

It might be a bit like cheating (I'm not sure - personally, I'd be fine with it) but you could try using burn and dodge on the lava, to bring out the glow - you wouldn't have to keep it, just experiment with it and see if you can make the fieryness a little glossier. I'll just do a little illustration of what I mean.
