They can be done on any medium.
If you wish, you can add a brief text description about your piece.
Only original compositions. No "tributes" or plagiarizing, unless is it an integral part of the challenge.
You can post an entry at anytime for the topic presented on this thead BEFORE the voting thread for THE WEEK has been posted.
The artist also has to post total length of time it took and program used.
Any piece caught breaking the rules will be taken off the thread.
The topics will be picked at random from the list on the TOPICS thread >>LINK<< (http://forums.cgsociety.org/showthread.php?t=145003)
(The author will be given credit). So guys keep them coming.
You can add multiple entries, but please dont post WIP (Unless you intend to update them).
Good luck

It says 35 min sketch, but it also says "no time limit"... Or do they always say that? *blinks*

No, that's a good question, cypherx. I'm confused too. Even more scary is raintears (http://forums.cgsociety.org/showpost.php?p=3446604&postcount=1427) never suggested "betrayal" or "no time limit" from what I can find.

EDIT: I called Dan Brown and he figured out that the topic is actually: pumpernickel!

It's always frustrating when you're trying to stay cool but your face betrays your feelings ;)

20 minutes, photoshop.

*sigh* I wish I was talented enough to be able to make this look how I pictured it. It looked so neat in my mind

Anyways...

Really nice one, codenothing! You've improved enormously, haven't you? What have you been up to?!

When I saw 'betrayal' I automatically thought of Moulin Rouge. I surprised myself here, I didn't think I'd be able to pull off this drawing at all but actually I really like it. Satine from the opening sequence.

By the computer clock, 31 minutes exactly in photoshop :D

thanks :) Ive deffinitely improved over the last 18 months or so sense my first post here. working digitaly was a tough thing for me to get a hold of....

Ive been working as a concept artist and freelance Illustrator the past year or so. Having a ball. :o)

I am actualy realy sad that nothing i have done in the past year is allowed to see the light of day because the projects probably wont ship untill next winter so its all still 'classified' work.

but i guess in a year or so my website will explode with all the stuff ive been proud of for the last year and a half. :o)

ALL HAIL THE DSG!

This is an older piece I made, that is actually called Betrayal, based on my personal novel Sibirsk.
Just wanted to share it, but it isn't made today for the topic. More a post sharing.
(I mean it has not value as sketch of the week and such ;))
