Starrydance,

Great to see your Anatomy Thread go up! :)

It's nice to see the work that you have done from the Sketchathon thread and your other work which I had not seen before. :)

I think that you might enormously benefit from trying the exercises which are posted to the beginning of this thread:

Beginners' Lounge (http://forums.cgsociety.org/showthread.php?t=297229)
http://forums.cgsociety.org/showthread.php?t=297229

Check out the best of the work that has been posted to the Beginners' Lounge in it's first year here, it's a great source of inspiration: :)

SPOTLIGHT: Best of Beginner's Lounge - Year 1 (http://forums.cgsociety.org/showthread.php?t=349232)

Looking forward to seeing more of your work!

Cheers, :)

Thanks a lot! Ill start those later today <3

Im defintely having problems with the 'foundation' of the form. I can fake it (sorta) after redrawing for hours and covering up some things - but I dont wanna! Wanna know how to get it "right" in the sketch stage. =)

Hate the 5min, got really caught up in needless detail and borked the whole thing! =p

15 Mins!

Oh goodness, the Reference for the Gestures was Edmund Leighton: The Accolade (http://www.artrenewal.org/asp/database/image.asp?id=5211&hires=1).

Starrydance,

Looking forward to seeing your Gesture studies ~ I think that they will really help! :) It's always best to draw figures without clothing first, and then to draw / paint the clothing on top. It's the underlying form that matters the most. :)

Cheers,
