Title: Radiance, from C. Asaro.
Name: Marc Simonetti
Country: France
Software: Photoshop

Hi, here is a cover art for the novel "Radiance" By Catherine Asaro, edited by Pocket SF in France.

I tried to represent a speed attack of a ciity descibed in the book. I wanted something to would refer to my old SF books, but with some more energy.
All was done in Photoshop, and I've received great advices by some very talented people.
Comments are most welcome, thanks!

That's a very kinetic piece - the trails give a lot of motion to your illustration. Nice palette too - good work!

Salut,
I like it a lot. It reminds me of Caza's cover for Asimov's novels. Is Caza's illustrations the old sci-fi look you're talking about? If so, you nailed it! hehe.
Bon boulot, quoi qu'il en soit ^^

great job here. The black shaped craft is a wonderful idea.
I've seen the process for this particular one and I say I've taken a lesson myself.
Congrats dude.

Thank you all for the comments !

really glad you like it.:)

livingrope: Thanks dude! I just love your fantastic work. I've taken lesson too while being helped in making that one, S. is a as kind as talentuous I think.

Clearskysuite: That watercolor effect is just the result of working first in white and black values and then adding colors with an overlay layer above (I learned that from one of sparth's great tutorials)

really awesome. This has a dynamic, Ryan Church style composition and design combined with a cool graphic rendering of the citiscape. Great work.
