View Full Version : Snap to Edge
ossosso 05-17-2006, 01:38 PM Hi!
If I select a vertex and I move it pressing X-C-V I snap to Grid, Curve and Point, but how can I snap to an Edge? I saw it in a tutorial, but I don't know which keys he presses.
Thanks a lot.

Use c and middle mouse button.

As already suggested, with “c” you have to use MMB and first click precisely on a curve/edge, while with the “x” and “v” you can also just drag with the LMB
You can also drag with LMB while holding “c” but this will constrain the vertex only to the edges connected to it and also you have to first precisely click on the boarder of the little snapping circle not in its center. I found this useful in a few cases where the arrows of the manipulator are on top of the edge I want to constrain to.
