Hello. As the title say, I'm having problems with some shadows when using Vray. I've just begun testing Vray out and I'm pretty much a beginner when it comes to about everything in 3D.
This is a simple scene I made yesterday just to test out a glass material.

(don't mind the 'burned' area under the glass, was just playing around and moving the light several times as I tested to get different shadows).
In this image I have irradiance map set to MEDIUM but even if I set it to HIGH i still get blurry or "pixly" areas behind the glass. This has made me think that the irradiance settings has nothing to do with the shadows, or at least very little. The problem is that I can't find what to adjust to get at smooth shadow/background to the glass.
The light setup is a one Vray light behind the camera. GI turned ON and everything else is pretty much default vray settings. The background is just a smoothed top of a cylinder wich is beant to resemble a studio backdrop.
If I only use the environment in Vray I get nice background but then the glass is almost not visible.
So my problem is that I really don't know what all the settings in Vray do so I can't find what do adjust to make the shadows both sharper and with better quality.
