View Full Version : Newbie question: moving UV texture projection?
Mr. Cadillac 01-07-2003, 06:38 PM Alright- Say one creates a cylindrical texture projection on the polys of an arm, and you want the seam to face towards the inside of the arm, but the projection places it to the outside. How do you rotate it? Can you? Or is there another way to do it, with texture guide perhaps? (having some trouble with texture guide, it seems to be one of those "stand on one foot and swing a dead chicken over your head under a full moon" tools) I'm sure this is a very simple thing to do, but my brain is clouded by newbness. Help!

You'll have to re do your uv.
select your arm, rotate it 180° x (if x was the projection)
apply uv
rotate arm -180°
Should be ok.

I feal your pain.. 8( I'm not certain there isn't a way to do it, but ya just apply your UV, and if its in the wrong spot.. Rotate the model and do it again :) If you have to rotate it like 34.5 degrees to get it in the right spot make sure you watch the little indicator at the bottom and write down what that rotation was so you can just rotate it back exactly where it was.. :) OH ya and make sure you MODE at the bottom of modeler is on SELECTION.. not MOUSE or youll be sad .
hope some of that helps
