Went in a totally new direction with the coloring. Here are the new pics:

I'm working on developing my style. I like a painterly/graphic novel type of look but also want to utilize digital means so I'm trying different methods of combining traditional mediums with digital.

I did the pencil by hand based on photos of my 1:6 scale custom figures and then "inked" them by hand using a Le Plume art pen. These were then scanned and the last one I've started adding color digitally. The background is photographic and the face and left shoulder show the blending/coloring I've completed thus far.

The third image with the digital mediums added looks great so far. keep at it. I'm not much of a digital art expert, but from the looks of it, it seems your on a great track. Lovely style. Very much comiclike, but with a unique blend of..something else..( I won't even pretend I know what I"m talking about), but at the same time, it sort of reminds me of tattoo art.

the black on white is my favorite, but I don't see 3 images.

one thing i will mention is line weight, your letting the technogy take control and it causing some lines to be be a bit smooth and heavy and others thin etc, not every shadow has to be smooth etc , samoe shape line in places helps to define thing better

Actually, I didn't use digital technology to create the linework. The inking was all done by hand (which I've also now clarified in the original post). Maybe a finer-tipped pen is recommended? Or are you commenting that the lines are too smooth and thin in areas?
