View Full Version : simple fk qestion

i dont think i've gotten my head around this chain thing in xsi. i just want a simple FK bone set up for a tail, nothing fancy. i had drawn a 2d chain and then just hidden the root and effector (assuming that as long as they dont have keys, i could just fk the bones). The problem is when i rotate the bones in z all kinds of stuff goes wrong. when i rotate the first bone, the second bone moves and starts twisting up the rig. when i rotate the second bone in z, nothing happens at all, the last bone is cool though. am i doing this incorrectly?

No your doing right. Create the bone chain and animate the rotation of the bones. Should work fine.

There has to be something more you did otherwise it would work.
