cool concept ...well drawn too...
question: why do you use charcoal if you have ink?
cool..I can see the little seat in the cokpit..it gives you a good idea of how big the Gossamer Sail is...
overall I got nothing to critique really....
it looks cool...maybe some more vains in the wing if you were going for a orgainic look...maybe even some bones..
anyway I like it! keep posting snowfly.:buttrock:

really? there was a Thing in the matrix? i didn't know that...i don't even remember the movie all that well. that sucks...now I wanna change it :/
hey freddy, the charcoal was used to lay in the gradients on this one. i don't really like using ink that much, in that it's too consistent, and i tend to scribble a lot to fill in the gray areas (a habit I guess from painting) which doesn't always look good. so charcoal + pencil does the trick.
anyway, i'm not too picky with my materials. I'm not like "this is for this, and that is for that", I just lay them out in front of me and grab whatever seems right for the job. good question though, I was wondering too myself :)
I agree about the wings, they aren't very functional. I got the same suggestions over at conceptart, and i'm in the middle of elaborating on that bit..you'll see the results in the 3D version.

anyway hope it turns out the way you want it:) :wip:
in my opinion I really dont think it looks like one of those things in the matrix....I think that CGfreak my have matrix on the brain form
