Hello all,

Here's the latest version of this character I've been trying to get finished for a while now. Still lots of tweaking to do, plus getting a body put together. . . . . .

sure, I could just post the file if you're interested. I don't have it with me at work but I can post it this evening. It's a combination of Naam's cartoon camera setup and his Chanlum shader for the skin. I'll post it for you later.

Very nice! :) You got a cool illustrated effect going there. One crit--in the profile view he looks a little jowly: more like an old man that a young boy.

yeah, the jaw line is one of the things on the tweak list; corners of the eyes, knitted yarn texture for the hat, better hair. . . . this kid will never get a body at the speed I work. . . . . . . :)

Very cool looking character. How did you get that cell look.?

Looks like I can't post the file to CG Talk directly and I don't have a web site to link it to online. If someone wants to give me their email address I'll send it to them (118k).

the cell effect is done mainly with Naam's cartoon camera setup and also with some SLA fresnel in the materials.

just let me know if you want the file . . .

Oh that's freakin cool.

The only thing I'd change is the eyebrows.. they don't seem to fit in.

The agony!!!!!

I should have known it was going to be an R8 file!

Is there any way you can post a R7 version? Even if it's just an OBJ. I love this model!

Very nice feel to that render. Almost a 1950's illustrative style.

Ummm...
[pleading voice] Can you send me the obj??? [/pleading voice]

...I wish there was some way to improve R8's compatibility w/ R7!
