This should be one of the first post i do on this forum, if not the first of all. Have been following it regularly for some time, only read and observed at thou. Well i could use some critics on this little booger of mine. I know im like lightyears behind most of you regarding the modeling. But i thought i could give it a shot.
This is the first model that i feel somewhat good about, good enough to show it anyway. Its far from ready, lots of things that can be tweaked and so on. At this time there are just a regular blue texture for the body and the eyes got an iris. So i know that the tex is poor

Let me know what i can or should be doing to the mesh itself. Would appriciate your critisism and coments

Was planning on getting some bowl thing later on. Just need to get the little booger done first. Want it to be as good as i can, and ofcorse not to heavy in poly. Need to get the render time down once i start with the animation.

Sure would need some critic on this. Just hit it on me. I can take it.

Edit: The rear fin will get some work. That im aware of.

Nice cartoon feell to the character. Yea the bowl and a cool texture would look sweet. Nice work. I try to make cartoon characters, but always end up tring to put too much detail and they become more real then cartoon looking.

Like the eyes...seuss stylie...Proton should like those......very nice model...maybe look at a Dr. Seuss book and see some of his styles and try and incorporate some of them into this little guy...wavy fins or something...just a suggestion..good looking character...

I must say a big thanks for the respons i have gotten. I will take a closer look at the Dr.Seuss style. I must say that i like the way he does his cartoons. Didnt realize that i had read some of his stuff in my early days untill you mentioned him. Can there be some influense from the past one can wonder. ha ha

it's a very cute fish. I agree with all said. Apply a nifty interesting texture and maybe a fish bowl with a small castle and a few algae and you definately got a winner!!

Ok
It seems that the crowd is pleased with the mesh itself- Thank you for that. So now i need to get the texture on it. Hopefully i will figure that part out in a day or two. I hope. Will get another pic in as soon as i get some texture on him.

Thanski you for all the critics and ideas that you have given me here today. Much apritiated.

Best regards to you all.

Done some minor updates on opinions that have been posted here and elsewhere. The fins have been sharpend to look more like a sharkish thing, the eye brows have been fattend at the base for easier morphing in a later stage. Eye sockets have been tweaked to fit the eyes better.

As you can see there are just some small things that have been done, but none the less the char got a diferent look to it. So feel free to hit me with some crits on this. Several thinks the old one is better, and as allways there are others that think the opposite.

Whats your opinion on this?

Been doing some tweaking and ended up with his mother aswell. The Little blue fish "sigge" is almost done in modeling. The tex is still the same as before. The mother is in about 50% tweaking. Could use some critics on her at this moment. Well Sigge aswell if you fell like saying something about him.

Best regards

Its been a while. But its time to get an update to this wip. There have been many changes to the mother, she had a facelift and the fins got fixed at the same time. Package deal they called it. The chars are now getting close to being ready. Only texturing to go. The render i post this time is a test to see how the scen might look like in the end. No backround so far, but there have been some ideas on a bowl of some sort. Thanks to all that mentioned that. Or just som elagoon in a warm place.

Feel free to give some crits in this stage. I know that the belt need some tweaking and that the engines are missing some gadgets to hold them on the belt. If you get some idea on what i could use, please tell me.

Best regards to you all.

A plan is ahead regarding these characters. There are to be a escape attempt from the fishbowl/aquarium etc Well i have modified the rocketbelt so that there are better stages to hold the engines. Started out on the workshop in the background. Tools and more scrap will get there later.

I know that the light might be a little thin for the schen, but i have used the same light from the first post to this one and didnt want to change that. Will work on light later, This is a regular skylight.

Tell me if there is something missing on her, except for strappings for the goggles. That im aware of.

Best regards
